This healthcare client was struggling to identify potential IT operations’ streamlining that would help them build a leaner, more efficient digital ecosystem and deliver savings to the bottom line.

Approach

cloudrho implemented an agile3-step approach for this healthcare client, starting with due diligence, followed by a pilot and a realization phase to ensure business alignment, manage change effectively and maximize savings potential.

As part of due diligence, cloudrho’s cost management framework was used to analyze current costs and benefits and align them to business outcomes as well as benchmark against industry standards. The findings from P&L analysis and stakeholder interviews resulted in providing recommendations around cost takeout, cost avoidance, cost optimization, contract management and critical process reengineering. The line items were comprehensive including desktop hardware, licenses, outsourcing to cloud.

As part of the pilot, the high-impact recommendations were implemented to a subset of the business and the roadmap for cost optimization was fine tuned based on the findings. The pilot was followed by a realization phase that is ongoing to implement all the recommendations as well as unearth new opportunities for optimization.
